Original Oil on Canvas | 12 × 16 in.
Dry Summer captures the quiet beauty of a rural landscape at the height of the season. Layers of soft greens, warm earth tones, and expressive brushwork move through the fields and trees, while a hazy blue sky stretches across the horizon. The loosely painted foliage and subtle shifts in colour give the scene a wonderful sense of depth and distance.
There is a peaceful, almost nostalgic quality to the piece—the feeling of looking out across the countryside on a warm summer day. Johnny’s use of texture and natural colour brings an understated warmth to the landscape, making Dry Summer an inviting original work for both traditional and contemporary spaces.
